S.D. Shibulal, commonly known as Shibu, co-founded Infosys in 1981 alongside N.R. Narayana Murthy and five others. His tenure at Infosys includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from 2011 to 2014. Prior to assuming these roles, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2011.

Beyond his responsibilities at Infosys, Shibu is actively engaged in various  leadership roles and advisory positions. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals and serves as the Co-chair of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Committee on IT, ITES, and e-Commerce. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Governors at the Information and Communication Technology Academy of Kerala and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Boston University. Shibu also contributes his expertise as a member of the Metropolitan College Dean’s Advisory Board at Boston University.
His global involvement extends to positions such as a member of the Seoul International Business Advisory Council (SIBAC), The Leaders Council of the International Business Leaders Forum, and the Global Corporate Governance Forum’s Private Sector Advisory Group.
